Fall Detection
As we age, the risk of falling increases, and so does the severity of injuries resulting from falls. This heightened risk is due to various factors, including decreased mobility, balance issues, and chronic health conditions that may affect stability. Recognizing this, our personal alarm pendant and watch devices are equipped with automatic fall detection.
CareXact App v1.6
Introducing v1.6 of the CareXact app. Our development team has a rich legacy spanning over 30 years, they've been at the forefront of supporting some of the most essential services our society relies upon: hospitals, aged care, policing, and emergency services. This experience has granted them a unique insight into the nuances and demands of these critical sectors, knowledge which they've poured into every iteration of the CareXact app.
Personal Alarm vs Phone
In today's digital age, smartphones have become indispensable tools for communication, entertainment, and even safety. But when it comes to emergency situations, is a smartphone truly the best option?
The CareXact App
We looked at the competition, and decided with our developers we could do better. CareXact and its parent company have been in the business of writing software and technical solutions for over 30 years. Our focus on quality has contributed to that longevity. In that time we have learnt a lot. For example, technology needs to be easy to use. The CareXact app makes SOS personal alarm devices easy to use for consumers.
Why SOS Pendants Matter
The challenges faced by elderly individuals living alone are many. However, with simple easy-to-use technology like the SOS Emergency Pendant, we have the tools to bridge the gap between independence and safety.
Fall Prevention
For elderly individuals, falls are the predominant cause of severe injuries, significantly more than other types. Among those 65 and older, falls constitute 77% of injury-related hospital admissions, tripling the combined total of other injury reasons. Compared to individuals aged 15–64, Australians 65 and over have an 8-fold increased risk of hospitalization and a staggering 68-fold higher chance of fatality due to falls.
