CareXact App v1.6

We are thrilled to announce that v1.6 of the CareXact app is nearing its official launch! Currently, it's undergoing the final stages of rigorous testing, ensuring that every feature meets our high standards of functionality and user experience.

Devices Screen

The Home screen has undergone a transformation and has been upgraded to what we now call the 'Devices Screen'. This revamped screen offers an overview of your personal alarm devices. Among the enhancements, you'll find updates on the battery status of each device, an indicator showing whether the device is actively online or offline, and a tally of the number of alerts each device has generated in the past month.

Furthermore, we've integrated a new feature that enables users to make a direct call to the personal alarm right from the Devices screen. However, note that for security and user protection, only phone numbers that are listed in the emergency contact list associated with a particular personal alarm are granted the ability to initiate a call to that alarm.

Reminders

CareXact personal alarms have been enhanced to offer four scheduled reminders. When the time arrives for one of these reminders, the alarm doesn't simply sound or flash; instead, it will audibly announce the reminder to ensure clarity and comprehension. This feature is designed to be entirely optional, catering to those who find it beneficial. If you wish to set up or modify these reminders, you can easily do so by navigating to device settings where you can configure them to best suit your needs.

Reminders continued

Fine-tuning reminder settings is easy. By tapping on the 'edit' button next to any reminder, you're presented with the options for your reminder. You can define specific options of a reminder, such as:

  • The exact time of day you want the reminder to activate.

  • The length of time the reminder will audibly announce, with selectable durations to choose from.

  • The specific days of the week you want the reminder to sound, allowing for weekday-specific or weekend-specific alerts, for instance.

  • The capability to enable or disable the alarm, giving you the flexibility to temporarily switch off reminders without deleting them.

We offer different categories of reminders to cater to a variety of needs. The available types include 'Alarm Clock', which is perfect for waking up or for timed events, 'Exercise Reminder' to encourage daily fitness and mobility routines, and 'Medication Reminder' ensuring timely intakes of prescriptions or supplements.

You can select announcement durations of 1, 5, or 30 seconds. During this period, the personal alarm device will vocally relay the reminder to the wearer. If at any moment the individual wearing the personal alarm wishes to mute the reminder, a quick press of the SOS button will promptly silence it.

Broadcast Message

We're thrilled to introduce an innovative new feature to our personal alarm devices: the ability to deliver text-to-speech verbal announcements. Using SMS technology, this enhancement enables CareXact app users to broadcast tailored vocal messages across multiple devices simultaneously. Imagine the convenience of reaching out directly and audibly to every connected personal alarm with a single message.

Take, for instance, our demonstration with Gwen. As a dedicated home care team leader, Gwen often needs to keep her clients informed of any changes in their care schedule. Today, instead of contacting each client individually, she uses the broadcast feature to send a message to all her clients' personal alarms, informing them that their regular home care assistant, Julie, will be substituted by Sharon for the day.

Upon receiving Gwen's message, each personal alarm immediately springs into action, voicing the announcement three consecutive times to ensure clarity and comprehension. However, if the individual wearing the personal alarm wishes to stop the message midway, a quick tap of the SOS button will instantly quieten the announcement.

Note that for security and user protection, only phone numbers that are listed in the emergency contact list associated with a particular personal alarm are granted the ability to broadcast a message to that personal alarm.
